On June 12, BOE Jie En Te Technology Co., Ltd. (BNJ) was formally established. The company is jointly invested by Beijing BOE Video Technology Co., Ltd. and South Korea JNTC CO,. LTD., and is controlled by BOE. The company is located in the BOE (Suzhou) Zhizao Service Industrial Park, with a construction area of ​​37,077 square meters, a planned manpower of 2,300 people, and an annual design capacity of 36 million pieces. It mainly develops related businesses such as 3D glass cover production and sales.


The curved display screen, which is a combination of a 3D glass front cover and a flexible OLED, has a better display effect and a better consumer experience. However, due to product yield and capacity constraints, in addition to Samsung and LG, the 3D glass front cover is rarely used in other mobile phone brand styles, and the market growth rate is very slow. In the past two years, domestic OLED production technology has gradually matured, and the 3D glass cover market is gradually picking up. It is expected that the application of 3D glass cover in the mobile phone screen in 2019 is expected to usher in a big explosion.

At present, BOE's 6th generation flexible AMOLED production line in Chengdu is progressing well and its yield is stable. It has become a major supplier of domestic OLED screen mobile phones. According to statistics, the demand for 3D glass cover for BOE flexible OLED is huge. It is estimated that by 2022, the annual demand will be around 91 million pieces. BOE's establishment of BNJ, which focuses on the development of 3D glass cover business, can not only reduce the overall procurement cost of the AMOLED production line within a certain proportion (about 25%), but also fully integrate the BOE technical resources to form a “screen master”. The business model of material production, display technology application, and product supply and export is in a favorable position in the upcoming 3D glass market.
